Summer School Program 2017

Regular Education and ESY (Special Education)

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Summer School program is for students who are academically at risk. The K-8 program is designed for remediation of skills prior to returning to school in the fall. The High School (9-12) program is entirely credit recovery.

If your K-8 student is recommended for summer school, please request a summer school application at the school office and have the teacher or principal sign for approval.  The original copy of the application must be turned in to your school secretary. You will receive a notification letter in the mail with school assigned and room number information.

High School (9-12) students will be notified by their school counselor.  Make sure you fill out a summer school application and turn original copy signed by counselor or principal to the school secretary. However, if a student does not receive a recommendation from their counselor and they are currently failing a class or have failed a class(es) it is the responsibility of the student and parent to sign up for summer school. It is helpful for parents/guardians and students to monitor high school student progress through your assigned counselor/teacher.

Special Education Students:  Attendance is determined at IEP (Individual Education Plan)

If a student has turned in a completed and approved Summer School Registration Form by the due date, a letter will be mailed home to confirm that your student is enrolled in Summer School by the second week of June.
