  • 2009-06-23 - ADOPTED BUDGET 2009-2010 - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (PUBLIC HEARING)
Because of the manner in which California voters have chosen to fund their public school system, about 90% of our District's budget comes from or through the budget of the State of California.  Moreover, all districts are required by statute to have a budget in place by July 1 whether the State's budget has been adopted or not.  To meet this requirement, the Board of Education held a mandatory public hearing and adopted a District budget at their June 23th meeting.  This budget will be adjusted when the Governor and Legislature reach final agreement on a State budget.
