Board policies, administrative regulations, exhibits and bylaws are continuously reviewed and revised to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and district practice. 

 

The policies below have been recently updated or added:

  • Administrative Regulation 6153:  School-Sponsored Trips  revised 3-31-2017
    The revision updates the chaperone-to-student ratio on field trips and removes the option to waive this requirement.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy 5117:  Interdistrict Attendance  revised 2-7-2017
    The policy revision updates the wording to reflect current procedures.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 6142.1:  Sexual Health and HIV-AIDS Prevention Instruction  revised 2-7-2017
    The policy updates the sexual health education policy to reflect current legislation.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 6200:  Adult Education  adopted 2-7-2017
    The policy outlines the district’s Adult Education program.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 3311:  Bids  revised 1-17-2017
    The policy has been updated to reflect the current State-required bid dollar amounts.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy 3470:  Debt Issuance and Management  adopted 1-17-2017
    This policy is necessary to ensure the proper management and oversight of debt undertaken by the District.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 5141.52 Suicide Prevention  adopted 12-13-16
    The policy formalizes the suicide prevention, intervention and follow-up procedures for all middle and high school students.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 3553:  Free and Reduced Price Meals adopted 11-15-2016 
    The policy was updated to reflect the timeline for submitting a request to the State Board of Education for a waiver of the requirement to provide free and reduced-price meals during summer session. The regulation was updated to reflect a new law (SB 708, 2015).  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy & Regulation 1114:  Sponsored Social Media  adopted 8-23-2016
    This policy defines guidelines about the creation of social media platforms and the appropriate use of social media. This policy affects LVJUSD employees and those affiliated with school sites through support organizations.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy 1312.3:  Complaints Concerning Instructional Materials (Uniform Complaint Procedures) adopted 8-23-2016
    This is a revised policy, updated to be compliant with legislation enacted in 2015.  Policy Summary
  • Board Policy 6152.1:  Placement in Mathematics Courses adopted 8-23-2016
    This is a new policy mandated by Education Code 51224.7 where districts are required to develop and adopt a fair, objective and transparent mathematics placement policy before the 2016-17 school year.  Policy Summary
